Empties Pt. 2

Here is the second part of my empties, enjoy!

Empties Pt 2

Empties Pt 2

  • YSL Baby Doll Mascara: I loved everything about this mascara. The formula wasn’t too wet and the brush was moulded plastic and perfectly made so it gave incredible volume without clumps. I would repurchase this again when I have used up some of my other mascaras.
  • MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Liner in brown and black: This liner is amazing, it is super waterproof and stays on all day. It has a felt tip applicator which is easy to control and create thin or thick lines. I currently have two of these open so I won’t need any for a bit but I plan on always having one in my stash.
  • Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara: Normally I don’t like curved wands but this is an exception. It builds incredible volume and holds curl all day. I have one open right now and probably always will.
  • Urban Decay Ink for Eyes: I should have returned this before it dried up but I was not impressed. Not only did it dry up after two weeks but it didn’t work. I would draw one line, then have to shake it to get more product out. I even stored it upside down so the tip was always wet but the product didn’t leak out. Not cool, so I will not be repurchasing this again.
  • Anastasia Brow Wiz: This is the best brow pencil ever. You don’t need to sharpen it, it comes with a comb on the other end, and it is very fine. It creates natural looking brows without over drawing. I’m currently using other brow products but I would reuse this again in the future.
  • L’Oreal Magic Lumi Concealer: This is a great drug store concealer. I will say that it highlights a lot better than it conceals but it is worth the small price tag. I have another one of these ready to go.
  • benefit Speed Brow: This was basically a tinted brow gel with a little wand. Loved the wand but I definitely think a clear brow gel works fine too. I probably won’t repurchase this because I have other, less-expensive products that work just as well.

Sephora Haul

What better way to end the week than with a Sephora Haul? I got a 15% off VIB Rouge coupon in the mail and we all know that I cannot pass up an excuse to go to Sephora. Here’s what I got:

  • Murad Time Release cleanser: This cleanser has Salisylic Acid that slowly releases over time after you’re done washing. I love how clean my skin feels after I use this!
  • MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Liner in Matte Black: I have this liner in two other colors but I thought it would be good to have a basic black
  • Urban Decay Lip Liner in Naked 2: I don’t normally like lip liners but this one is nice because it’s not drying and helps my lip color stay on much longer
  • Hourglass lipstick in Grace: I have finally found the perfect nude lipstick for me. It is not too pink but not too pale and bonus: it’s not drying in the slightest bit
  • Dr. Dennis Gross One Step Acne Pads: I did a full review on these a bit ago but wanted to include them again because I got them with all of these products and they are seriously amazing. Still obsessed
  • Clarisonic Acne brush head: It was suggested that I switch to this one because there are more bristles than in the other brush heads but the bristles are softer so they don’t disrupt any breakouts on your skin

Have a great weekend!

Valentine’s date look

With Valentine’s Day approaching, I wanted to post a look that anyone can use, whether it’s for a date or a night out with the girls, a small winged liner would suit any situation.

Products used to create a winged liner look

Products used to create a winged liner look

Winged liner is intimidating at first, but I have a great tip to help with making the perfect wing. The first step is to prime. I used my trusty MAC Painterly Paint Pot. Then, I took MAC’s Brule on a Sigma E60 and dusted it from lid to brow bone. Next I took MAC’s Kid with a Sigma E25 and blended it into the crease from the outer corner to the inner corner. I went in again with my E25 with MAC’s Cork eye shadow and concentrated it right in the outer corner of the eye to deepen the crease. Now for the wing. The key is to start with your eyes open and follow the lower lash line out as far as you want the wing to go. When you know how far you want the wing to go, place a TINY dot with the liner and start filling it in. I like to keep my wings short so they mimic the natural upper lash line. I used my favorite Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in No 12 which is a matte brown. Last, I finished off the look with the Lash Love Mascara from Mary Kay.
